Moving? Got Kids? Read This!
As a mom of two little boys, I understand the fear parents have on how moving will affect their children. Children are creatures of habit, they like schedules, familiar people and places, and so when a family makes a move, it can really change the child’s behavior. Some children will be clingier, more emotional, start wetting the bed or may act out.
Here are some tips to help make your child’s move as easy as possible:
1. Play Out The Move: Young children learn from play, so grab some toy trucks, tiny boxes and pretend to move. Use this time to show the process of the move. (Packing, then everything goes in the truck, moves to the new house and gets unpacked)
2. Let Your Child Visit The New Home: Before the moving day, take your child to see the new home a few times. Walk them through your new home…
